We accept donations of gently used books, DVDs and CDs at the downtown branch of the Olympia Timberland Library ONLY Monday through Saturday. Please do not take donations to the Westside Olympia Library, as staff there do not have the facilities to receive them.
Friends volunteers are on hand at the downtown Olympia branch from noon to 2 p.m. only on Wednesday and Saturday to assist donors who wish to bring in more than just a handful of books. We ask that you limit your donations to two bags or boxes at a time.
If you wish to bring in a donation on other days when the downtown library is open, please use the black bin near the sales shelves in the library. Please do not put donations in the library’s return bins, and please do not ask library staff for assistance in unloading books and transporting them into the library.
We kindly ask that you do not donate old textbooks, outdated computer manuals (pre-2021), unabridged dictionaries and books that are damaged. These can be recycled at the recycle area at the Thurston County Landfill.
